Family Support Specialist

The Center for Child Protection exists to end the cycle of child abuse through advocacy, education and community support. Volunteers are needed to help the families who come to the center for interviews, therapy, and medical appointments feel calm by making crafts, playing games, coloring or reading books with them. Volunteers must be 18 years old and complete our volunteer process that includes a volunteer application, background checks, a volunteer interview, references and volunteer training.

Prepare a Birthday Box for a Foster Child

Pop-Up Birthday celebrates kids in foster care by preparing a birthday box for them, complete with decorations, party games, snacks/drinks, goody bags, balloons, candles, a cake and gifts. They work directly with CPS, CASA and several residential treatment centers to deliver personalized birthday boxes to children in foster and/or kinship care. Simply follow a detailed checklist and drop-off instructions and your box will be delivered to a child. All ages and groups welcome!
